Many blogs reported that today April 12th would be the launch.  Yet it is already after business hours and the phone did not materialize.  A quick look shows that some have already revised those estimates and are reporting the 29th.

I am looking into buying a new phone and would like to be on the Verizon Network, but these nasty delays are making it hard to decide.

Wirefly has the Motorola Droid on Verizon for $19.99 currently.  It certainly is a great deal.  If the other phones aren’t out in the next few days that is what I might do.

Another interesting option would be to wait for the iPhone 4G/HD which should arrive this summer possibly as soon as June.  I don’t know that I can wait that long.  I have been using one of the most basic Motorola phones possible a C139.  It really is frustrating not having a PDA/SmartPhone. Especially after being one of the early adaptors of the Windows Mobile PDA / Phone.
