Every blog needs an obligatory 1st post that introduces the author and blogs subject matter to the reading audience.  http://markfinch.info is the weblog for…  You probably guessed it: Mark Finch an International Businessman, Software Developer, Writer, Technologist, Designer, Artist, and Inventor. 

Most of the last decade Mark was in Asia managing International Trade, learning the Chinese Language and developing business connections in Asia. Before heading to Asia Mark worked in Silicon Valley as a Tech Product/Project manager.  For more on Mark’s professional experience check his LinkedIN profile.

The main purpose of this weblog is to be a place for sharing personal life, being a professional resource, and to aggregate content Mark creates from across the web.

While Mark has been blogging for a long time due to some technical limitations of the tumblr platform he is not able to import some of his old posts and keep the URL’s while other older content has simply disappeared after a nasty hard drive crash a year ago.  So this will be his first post on tumblr and he will work around the url limitation to bring the other content online in the future. 

Mark decided on Tumblr as a reliable platform after several ISPs failed to keep his sites up which also resulted in data loss.  Tumblr provides the best option for someone wanting to share Rich Media along with content from other sites outside of a self-hosted Wordpress site.
